US Solar Institute, Florida’s premier solar training institute, provides a meaningful 4 hour review session to further prepare students for the NABCEP PV Entry Level Exam. The NABCEP PV Entry Level Program is designed for those individuals wanting to pursue a solar career; achievement of the NABCEP PV Entry Level Exam is a way for candidates to demonstrate that they have achieved a basic knowledge of the fundamental principles of the application, design, installation and operation of grid-tied and stand-alone PV Systems.
During the prep session (offered the week following PV-201) students have a question answer session where over 100 sample exam problems are worked with the support of our faculty. This highly desirable session has proven so successful that over 90% of attendees pass this exam on their first try.
The session begins at 8am and runs until 12:00 (noon). Many times the students then take the exam after lunch or schedule a time of their own choosing. As South Florida’s first fully recognized NABCEP testing center, students who have successfully passed any NABCEP approved course are welcome to take the exam at our campus.
As the market grows for photovoltaics, students achieving this industry-sponsored Entry Level Exam may find that their employment opportunities are enhanced by starting the job with an understanding of the basic terms and operational aspects of a PV system. However, completing coursework and passing the exam does not qualify an individual to install PV systems.
