Site Designer

The SolarEdge Site Designer makes designing an optimal PV system easier than ever for any given SolarEdge installation size. The tool recommends the number of strings and each string’s length as well as PV inverter and power optimizer selections, based on site size and PV module selection.

In addition to the automatic design recommendation, the Site Designer supports multi-orientation design, multiple module types in one design, as well as printable reports and the SolarEdge Bill-of-Materials for the design.

With Sunny Design, PV system design is easier than ever. By simply entering some
basic system parameters, this free software helps solar installers and system
planners visualize possible PV plant designs and select the optimum
configuration quickly and easily. Sunny Design offers a user-friendly interface
and a practical input wizard for assistance. It also provides data for an
economic evaluation of the system along with a technical analysis of the
included components. Sunny Design saves solar professionals valuable time and

PV Watts Viewer

NREL’s PVWattsTM calculator determines the energy production and cost savings of grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) energy systems throughout the world. It allows homeowners, installers, manufacturers, and researchers to easily develop estimates of the performance of hypothetical PV installations.

The PVWatts calculator works by creating hour-by-hour performance simulations that provide estimated monthly and annual energy production in kilowatts and energy value. Users can select a location and choose to use default values or their own system parameters for size, electric cost, array type, tilt angle, and azimuth angle. In addition, the PVWatts calculator can provide hourly performance data for the selected location.
