It’s no secret that Florida enjoys enviable sunshine all year round, which makes it ideal for PV installation training.  This much is clear in our nickname – the Sunshine State.

This is why every month of the year, USSolar Institute welcome students from all over the globe who flock to our Fort Lauderdale campus to receive advance certification and training in:

But believe it or not, there is a “best time of year” to visit Florida for our training courses.  Mid-March to early May represents, what I call, the “sweet spot” for solar.

Let me explain why.

Winter Solar PV Training Courses – the Good and the Bad

We’ve blogged about this before – why winter appeals to so many of our students.

When places like New York or Chicago are getting battered by blizzards, Florida remains a serene paradise of steady warmth and sunshine.

The allure is quite obvious.

For a week or two, you can escape sub-zero temperatures and join a terrific crew of solar enthusiasts who stand ready to share their knowledge in a fun and exciting atmosphere.  Many of our students from Europe as well as the Northeast, end up extending their trips to visit some of Florida’s world-renown attractions.

It’s a solid package.

However, winter is high season for paradise-bound travelers.  Our solar PV training prices remain constant throughout the year, but hotels, flights, and food tend to be a little more expensive.

If you’re on a budget, there are cheaper times of the year to visit.

Summer & Fall Solar PV Training Courses – the Good and Bad

We also receive a flood of new students during the summer holidays and early autumn.  Again, this makes perfect sense – especially for those who want to receive training without taking time off from work.

But summer and fall are not without their drawbacks.

For starters – this is prime hurricane season.  We can train you how to install solar PV systems that can withstand hurricane winds (this is one of our specialties).  But we can’t actually train you when the hurricanes are happening.

And don’t forget that the summer months are also high season for many holidaymakers.  Expect to pay a premium for lodging and flights if you visit us from late May to early September.

Taking Advantage of the Solar PV Installation Training Sweet Spot

We’re happy to have you no matter what time of the year it is.  But if you’re looking for the best possible training at the lowest possible cost – without any fear of superstorms or hurricanes coming along, March to May is your best option.

If you’re ready to secure some real-world training with one of the best solar teams on the planet, contact us today.  We’re eager to have you – January to December.

Hope to share some sun with you soon!
